Inspired, as so many of my pink paintings are, by the line of cherry trees in St Ann’s Well Park near where I live. There’s often a gentle breeze on those clear March days. With their clear white skies and blossom in the air, they’re my favourite kind of days. So much is happening, it’s a true feast for the senses. Blackbirds singing, rustling leaves, soft scents and a cool breeze on the cheeks. And some days I’m early enough to catch Ernest taking his friends out for a spin, amid the shimmering shades of Spring.
