There was an old wall I got a bit obsessed with. I’d go there every day and just draw the bricks. Most were in regular patterns but some of them were laid in waves like a river. I painted a lot of pictures of that wall, mainly with our friends sitting on it. This is the only one of them standing in front. I chose a small section with a standard brick pattern and really focused in on the colours. Isn’t it strange, the things that inspire?
